Nightmarish night
By Lillian Huber
When the night strikes dusk and all the kids are asleep
The land of the creatures starts to creep
One wakes up
Then another
Oh the night is filled with wonder
Ghoulish beasts start to roam
Shrieks and moans
Zombies groan
You are all alone
Something in the shadows begins to howl
Murderous phantoms start to rage
You shriek and holler but to no avail
Witches’ cackles carry through the night
Upon their brooms spreading fright
Mixing potions in their pot
A gurgling monster starts to rot
The lunar light
Brings to life
The beast of night
He slowly transforms and rips through his clothes
Gnashing teeth
Screams and growls
Now the werewolves begin to prowl
With their howls spooking the owls
Jack-o'-lanterns shine so bright
Just as the full moon on this night
Creepy crawlies run all over bodies
Gravestones crack
The night sky so black
Dead arise with sunken eyes
Sending shivers down your spine
With stink and mold the air so cold
Suffocating every soul
The deceased is now awakened
With broken teeth
They gnaw on skin and bone
Death is all they know
They keep on killing
Till their brains go spilling
Because they were shot in the head
And now they are dead
Oh the cry of the night
The wind is white
Death is alive and people die
So perhaps stay inside
Or else you yourself might die
