Give to St. Kate’s Day donors fund over 127 student scholarships

The 16th annual Giving to St. Kate's Day occurred on Nov. 12 this year. Student ambassadors and staff joined forces to raise funds with the goal of providing 100 scholarships to students.

Now the numbers are in, and the St. Kate’s community showed up.

705 donors generously contributed $640,005 to fund over 127 student scholarships. Alumni from class years 1947 to 2025 contributed. Katie pride swept the nation with donors from all 50 states.

Athletics also joined the cause. Every team participated to raise more than $37,000 for student athletes.

Over 200 students, faculty and staff members stopped by the Give to St. Kate’s Day table on campus to write thank you notes to donors and celebrate the annual giving day.

Elizabeth Govern '20, Director of Annual Giving, shared that this year’s Give to St. Kate’s Day was increasingly critical with recent shifts in public funding. “Every gift made on Give to St. Kate’s Day directly supports students through scholarships and other vital support services, helping to make a transformative education accessible for current and future Katies,” she said.

Rose Swe Zin ’27 shared a message to donors, saying, “Thank you for believing in us. Your generosity doesn’t just fund scholarships, it fuels dreams, opens doors, and creates opportunities that ripple far beyond the lecture rooms. Because of you, students like me can focus on learning, growing, and giving back. You’re making a real difference in our lives, and I’m deeply grateful.”
